June’s Hair-story

A hair architect in the making over the past 24 years, June expertly blends her artist's eye with her technical precision to provide unparalleled style and educational service of what she calls ‘hairapy’ to her clients.

Her craft originally cultivated at 'Civello' salon in 2001. After 3 foundational years there she explored a few varied salon settings large and small business models. This sparked her creative flame and inspired her to open her very own single chair (by appointment only) boutique new york style studio in the heart of the fashion district on Queen Street West in 2009. This is where she devoted her love of hairapy for 13 years as a solo artist. With her strong holistic focus on nurturing local love for the small business community in 2022, on the heels of the pandemic she took a leap of faith enthusiastically joining a beauty and wellness collective in Yorkville. In 2024 she transformed a 2 level stand alone coachhouse on 17 Stephanie Street into the most charming hair oasis of her dreams continuing to provide her exclusive PRIVATE one on one experience to her guests. With her ongoing dedication to the environment she uses sulphate, paraben, and cruelty-free lines Kevin Murphy and Paume as well as recycling all hair clippings to clean up oil spills in Canada through Green Circle Salon. She is well known for her dry haircutting techniques offering a unique ‘blended’ haircut which allows her haircuts to look their finest in their most natural/casual varieties as well as dressed up, creating a long lasting and eco-friendly impression.

In addition to her work behind the chair, she brings 9 years as a graphic artist into the mix. She is marrying her past to her present with her passion for visual tailoring.

June's beauty philosophy is to create tasteful, organic looks that are balanced, harmonious and add a subtle hint of contrast based on her subject. Each session is incredibly involved as she delivers an extensive 101 tutorial on how to become the master of one's own mane. This unique experience extensively outlines how to care for the hair effortlessly, allowing the haircut to stand the test of time as designed.

"I am exploring my maturing love of 'the art of hair design.' Manifesting a nurturing relationship that vision crafts and rejuvenates. I wish to be the well from which I draw from.”
